  • Roxanne McKoy

    Roxanne McKoy

    LEAD TEACHER

My name is Roxanne, but most people know me as Miss Roxy here at The Park. I’m a proud mama of two wonderful daughters and have a very loving husband. My family and I love our community and are so grateful to call Okotoks home.

I’ve always been drawn to nurturing roles and have a background in nursing, caring for both children and seniors, as well as experience working in a Montessori preschool. When I first walked through the doors of The Park in 2020, I instantly knew I had found where I was meant to be.

After several wonderful years here, I’ve stepped into the role of Lead Teacher, and I am absolutely loving it. I’ve enjoyed helping shape and grow our programs, making thoughtful, child-led changes, and watching how excited and engaged the kids are each day—it’s incredibly rewarding. Building meaningful relationships with children and families through both drop-in play and our Creative Kids Preschool program is one of my favourite parts of being here.

To our parents: please know that your children are seen, cared for, and gently supported each day. It means so much to me to help create a space where they feel safe, confident, and free to be exactly who they are.

The Park brings me so much joy, and I feel truly lucky to work alongside an amazing team of women who lead with heart, care, and a whole lot of love for our community. It really is a special place to be.

From Miss Sara: Miss Roxy is one of the most patient and kind humans I know—truly an angel on earth and a gift to our children, families, and team.

  • Breanne Wintemute

    TEACHING ASSISTANT

Hi, my name is Breanne, but many know me as Miss B. I’ve worked at The Park since 2021 and have dipped my toe in everything we have to offer. I currently work with the Creative Kids Program as Assistant Teacher, run Drop-In on Fridays, and help behind the scenes with our social media.

Growing up, I’ve always had a strong passion for making a positive difference in children’s lives, and working here has let me do just that. It’s one of the reasons I love being part of the Creative Kids Program. Being involved in this stage of development, watching kids learn, grow, build confidence, and become themselves, is a unique and extremely rewarding experience, and that wouldn’t be possible without the families who care and believe in what we do.

A big part of my day is helping kids try new things, solve problems, and work together while cheering them on and creating fun, safe, and engaging activities for them.

The team and families I work with make every day exciting. They inspire me to show up motivated and ready to do my best.

I have plans to further my career working with children and go back to school in the near future. For now, I’m soaking up every moment and learning as much as I can at The Park.

  • Neveah Bernier

    PARTY COORDINATOR

Hi! I’m Nev, also known as Miss Nev. My journey with The Park began just last year. I started as a volunteer, and worked my way up to be a party corrdinator for private rentals! As of now I am in grade 11 at Foothills Composite High School, here in Okotoks. During my weekends you can see me doing what I love most, creating smiles and connections at The Park. When I’m off school and work I love to spend time with people who mean the most to me, explore the outdoors and go snowboarding during the winter. The thing I love about The Park the most is the kids I get to meet and have experiences with. They always come in with the brightest smiles on their faces, which makes me light up with joy. Getting to be in presence of these little lights, who aren’t afraid of judgement, showing who they are, expressing themselves and using their imagination drives my passion. It inspires me to be myself to the fullest. I don’t just love the kids but everyone who comes into The Park. I love the relationships I get to make and the conversations I get to experience. The Park has such a warm, calm and inviting atmosphere it just makes every encounter filled with positivity and excitement.

  • Emma Day

    PARTY COORDINATOR

Hi! I’m Emma! I’m in Grade 9 and have grown up at The Park as the owner’s daughter, so it’s always felt like a second home to me. I’ve been working here for the past two years, and it’s something I truly love being a part of. I love being playful with the kids and creating a space where they feel comfortable, happy, and free to be themselves. Their energy and creativity always make my day better! I take a lot of pride in being helpful and dedicated to my job, and I always try to bring a positive attitude to everything I do. Watching my parents grow The Park as entrepreneurs has really inspired me to start something of my own. Alongside hosting birthday parties on weekends, I also run my own small nail business, which I’m really passionate about. When I’m not at The Park, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and going to the gym. My favorite thing about The Park is the atmosphere. It’s such a happy, welcoming space where everyone can have fun and make great memories, and I’m so lucky to be part of it!
