  • Marie Dawn aka Miss A

    General Manager & Lead Teacher

Miss A has been delighting kids in Okotoks for over a decade, bringing heaps of fun and learning to the preschool scene. With her Early Childhood Education from BVC and experience as a child development guru and summer camp extraordinaire, she's become a local legend!

Before diving into the wonderful world of teaching, Miss A rocked the restaurant scene in Alberta and BC. Now happily settled in Okotoks with her beautiful family, she loves nothing more than quality time with loved ones, trying new things, busting out dance moves, shredding snow on the slopes, tending her garden, and feeling the wind in her hair on her motorcycle adventures

Jumping at the chance to mix her love for kiddos with her restaurant savvy, Miss A eagerly joined The Park from day one. She's been there through it all, from painting walls to dreaming up tasty treats and creating the awesome programs. Whether she's leading impromptu dance-offs, spinning magical tales under the tree, or zooming down slides, Miss A's energy is infectious!

“I believe there's something truly enchanting about seeing the world through the eyes of a child – it's like tapping into a world of pure magic! That's why I'm all about giving our little ones the space they need to explore, play, and create the kind of memories that last a lifetime. Whether it's building towering block castles, splashing in puddles, or giggling over silly stories, I'm here to make sure every moment is brimming with joy and wonder.

For me, teaching isn't just about imparting knowledge – it's about nurturing those precious emotional smarts and fostering unshakable confidence in our kids. I'm passionate about igniting their imaginations through play, helping them navigate their feelings with grace and empathy, and empowering them to tackle life's challenges head-on with a sense of resilience and determination. Because every child is a unique and beautiful individual, and I'm here to celebrate their strengths, quirks, and boundless potential every step of the way.”

  • Roxanne McKoy

    Roxanne McKoy

    Preschool Teacher & Team Member

My name is Roxanne, also known as Miss Roxy here at The Park. I am a Mother of two incredible daughters and have a loving husband. My oldest graduates from high school this year and my youngest is in elementary school. My family and I moved to Okotoks from Fort McMurray seven years ago. We instantly fell in love with the community and are proud to call Okotoks home.

Throughout all my careers I have always found myself drawn to a nurturing role. I have had past nursing experience caring for children and elderly and prior to The Park I worked at Montessori preschool. This is where I began my passion as an assistant teacher. The preschool unfortunately had to close and thats when I found The Park. Since the first day in 2020 when I walked through the door, I knew this was the place I was meant to be.

The Park has brought me so much joy. Building relationships through both the drop in and Creative Kids Preschool program with both the children and families and watching them grow is very special to be a part of. Our Creative Kids preschool program is very special and unique and seeing the positive transformation in the kids who attend is so gratifying.

I couldn’t ask for a better team to be a part of and working alongside with women who have so much love to give to our community is a true blessing.

The Park is the place to be, both as staff and customers.

    LEAD PARTY COORDINATOR

Hello! I’m Breanne, also known as Miss B! My journey with The Park began over three years back, starting as a volunteer and now specializing in private rentals and all things party-related! Balancing my senior year at Summit West Independent School in Okotoks, you'll catch me spending my weekends working at The Park, aside from my position at the Park I also have a local respite position. When I’m not working I also enjoy to spend time with my friends, trying new things, and self care! What makes this place so special to me is how it highlights the essence of communication and the beauty of gathering to celebrate life’s little joys with loved ones. My time here has fueled a passion for working with kids, pushing me to set my sights on nurturing that passion after high school. My primary goal within The Park is to leave a positive imprint on every person walking through our doors, whether they're little or grown. It's about spreading warmth and creating lasting smiles, and I'm grateful to be a part of that!

  • Neveah Bernier

    PARTY COORDINATOR

Hi! I’m Nev, also known as Miss Nev. My journey with The Park began just last year. I started as a volunteer, and worked my way up to be a party corrdinator for private rentals! As of now I am in grade 11 at Foothills Composite High School, here in Okotoks. During my weekends you can see me doing what I love most, creating smiles and connections at The Park. When I’m off school and work I love to spend time with people who mean the most to me, explore the outdoors and go snowboarding during the winter. The thing I love about The Park the most is the kids I get to meet and have experiences with. They always come in with the brightest smiles on their faces, which makes me light up with joy. Getting to be in presence of these little lights, who aren’t afraid of judgement, showing who they are, expressing themselves and using their imagination drives my passion. It inspires me to be myself to the fullest. I don’t just love the kids but everyone who comes into The Park. I love the relationships I get to make and the conversations I get to experience. The Park has such a warm, calm and inviting atmosphere it just makes every encounter filled with positivity and excitement.
